Why is pessimism BAD?

Introduction

Science says that 94% of humans have negative thoughts! Alarming? Nah, it’s normal …No it’s not! In the modern world embellished by negativity and wickedness, if a person himself is not an optimistic thinker, he would sooner or later lead in a weak and tired mentality. Pessimism is not something that would harm anybody, but YOU. A pessimist is potentially concentric on his flaws and overlooks his strengths which could play a major role in demoralizing him.

“Pessimism is characterized as an entirely negative outlook that ultimately concludes in sorrow or hopelessness.”

Optimism, on the other hand, is totally opposite to it. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that one has complete control over his way of thinking. Expecting the worst all the time instead of acknowledging the bright side of life, would ultimately bring you what you expected. But thinking positively even when things aren’t going your way could lead to better outcomes, especially mental peace!

Health issues

Physical health is always dependent on a person’s mental health. If a person is constantly FEEDING his mind with NEGATIVITY how could he expect to be attentive and healthy? Always thinking of unnecessary things would weaken his mind and soul. Let me put it this way: all of this results in OVER-THINKING. And when a person starts to do this, he becomes more and more depressed with the SELF-CREATED SCENARIOS which eventually make him do drugs. In the long run that temporary euphoria would reflect on his poor physique.

Down-thrust of confidence

Optimism is always the key to a successful life. In contrast, pursuing negative thoughts hinders a person from taking challenges in life and he avoids participating in the race of society. For example, a person wants to deliver his speech in front of a crowd, but he thinks that everybody will laugh at him if he forgot something. Contrary to this, an optimistic person would think if he delivers his speech, everybody will praise him.

Pessimistic company

As we have always heard, “a man is recognized by the company he keeps”, a pessimist always ends up with people like him. This is mainly because most people prefer to stay away from people who pass negative energies than people who talk positively and cheerfully. According to a survey, it’s reported that pessimistic people have pessimistic friends.

Relationships annihilation

Many relations shatter just because of distrust and misunderstandings which are the prime causes of pessimism. Speaking the truth, many relationships, whether they be friendships or marriages, fail because one or both partners become excessively possessive. In the end, when everything dismantles, nothing remains except a NEVER-ENDING MISERY.

Suicidal thoughts

Pessimism, on a smaller level, like just for some time is not necessarily bad. But constantly viewing and perceiving the gloomy assumptions terminate in depression which could most likely result in suicide.

According to a report, depression was a factor in a large number of suicides in Canada.

Conclusion

In order to conclude the topic, I would just like to say that pessimism is JUST a vision that can be changeable. A pessimist can leave the cynical approach by hanging out with enthusiastic people. In a society overfilled with double-faced people, with so-called traitors, the question arises how can a person still remain neutral and optimistic? I could just say you HAD to find your own light in every circumstance to enjoy YOUR life to the fullest and have a ‘PEACE OF MIND’.
